Yes, Amy NY Notary and Weddings Inc. can notarize documents in languages other than English as long as the notary is fluent in the language and the document is in a language the notary can read and understand.

- The identification cannot be expired. 

- The identification must have the signature on it for the holder. 

- Photo must be clear and recognizable of the holder.

Unacceptable identifications are birth certificates, social security cards, credit cards, or school identifications. These documents do not meet the government issued photo requirement for any notary publics.

The time it takes to notarize a document depends on the complexity of the notarization and the number of documents to be notarized. We work efficiently to ensure that all documents are notarized in a timely manner.

- Please do not sign any of the documents that need to be notarized prior to seeing the notary public. 

- If you do not have a proper photo identification that is valid, you can use a credible witness who can sear to your identity and have proper photo identification themselves.

The acceptable identification needed for notarizations, are as follows:

- Driver's License or Non Driver Photo Identification card

- U.S. military identification card

- U.S. Passport or foreign possport with a U.S. entry stamp

- Permanent Resident card (Green Card)

- Government Issued Identification which is federal, state, county, or local government issued identification

I can notarize the following documents in New York:

- Mortgages, closing disclosures, leases, and deeds (Documents that may need witnesses. Please ask attorney which document, that needs a witness). 

- Passport applications, travel consent forms, and affidavits for the document(s). 

- Power of Attorney, also durable POA, affidavits, depositions, and trusts. Some documents I can be the 2nd witness to, like the signing of wills for affidavits.
